What is the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List?

If you are looking at working in Australia there are a lot of options to consider – many of which depends on your skill set and experience.  There are many opportunities available to work in Australia with a number of options such as:

  • Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Subclass 186 Permanent
  • Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457)
  • Training and Research visa (subclass 402)

Depending on your profession and skill, there will be other options available if your industry within Australia has an insufficient number of workers and is in need of staff to fill positions.

The Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL) is a list created of occupations that are currently available and in demand in Australia. If you are looking at applying for an occupation that is on the CSOL you must have your qualifications assessed and approved by an authorised authority.

Depending on the type of Visa you are applying for there may be other requirements such as having to be nominated by a state or territory government or an Australian employer.
