“The impact of lower interest rates and continued earnings growth has ensured that home purchase affordability has improved over the past year for existing homeowners and those on the cusp of entering the market in the short term,’’ confirmed HIA Senior Economist, Shane Garrett.

The results of the report uncovered that housing affordability is 10.8 Per cent more advantageous than this time last year and also predicted an increase of 8.2 per cent increase on the amount of new dwellings that will be built this year.
