On the 24th November the Department of Immigration and Citizenship will implement new changes to the temporary visa subclasses. DIAC will be removing a significant number of temporary visa subclasses which will not be open to any new clients from this date. They plan to reduce the large number of different visa subclasses and combine these into new subclasses. This does not mean that you will not be able to come to Australia under these categories, as you will be assessed under the new visa subclass numbers which will include new visa streams that will cover the categories of the previous temporary visas.
There are minimal changes to the 457 Temporary Visa which will not affect the current processing requirements in a major way.
All changes will be made available after the 24th November 2012
