Whether you were watching the news unfold last night or woke up to the devastating footage this morning, the recent attacks on Brussels, the capital city of Belgium has created another caution for international travellers.
Brussels airport and a metro station were the locations where separate bombings occurred in close time proximity to each other. Whilst the number of fatalities is constantly changed, the Belgium government has issued a domestic terror threat of Level 4, which is the highest level possible. Due to this, the Australian government has issued an official travel warning to Australians who were planning on traveling to Brussels.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has listed on it’s website:
“We advise you to reconsider your need to travel to Belgium in Belgium due to the high threat of terrorist attack.”
If you are concerned about your travel arrangements to Europe or existing visa approvals, please contact your local travel agent for more information.
