Travelers have been warned to expect extensive delays through border security and customs with Australian Border Force workers confirming they will go on a 24 hour strike this coming Monday 9th November.
All international airports across the country will be affected by the industrial action as the Border Force workers continue negotiations for increased wages and benefits. The strike has been instigated by the newly formed Australia Border Force (ABF) which was only administered in July this year.
The group and workers participated in a rolling strike in September which saw the airports rotate the strike action in 2 hour intervals.
To avoid unnecessary disruptions, please contact your airline and airport to find out your travelling requirements.
