Queensland is third most popular state for SIV

A recent report released by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection has revealed the distribution of successful Significant Investment Visa applicants across the states of Australia from the 1st of July 2015 through to the 31st of January.

The results show the state of Victoria as the number one destination for SIV’s, with New South Wales following through as the second favourite and Queensland as the third option. However, when comparing the results to the population of those states, the numbers are actually pretty close.

Significant Investment Visas distribution from 2014 – 2015

Victoria: 362 Visas granted from 1008 applications

New South Wales: 179 Visa granted from 396 applications

Queensland: 25 Visas granted from 62 applications

Western Australia: 15 Visas granted from 34 applications

South Australia: 9 Visas granted from 39 applications

Interestingly the Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania all had less than five applications with no visas successfully granted.

The numbers also clearly show that not every application is successful which is why it is important to take advantage of all of the available resources to ensure your application has the best chance of success.
